This silk is from a deceased estate in Sydney’s east, and dates from the 1960s. It’s incredibly light with subtle structure. The ground colour is a deep cobalt, but the floral print appears differently on either side - grass green + dark cyan, and peach + mauve. Dry-cleaning is preferable, but cool handwashing & delicate soap with caution is ok.

The dress is cut on the bias, giving fluidity to its silhouette. The garment has been designed to be completely reversible with little differentiation between the inner and outer. All seams are sewn flat: the neckline and hemline are bound, and the back darts and side seams are tacked down. The label is sewn secretly under the armpit. The back neck has a subtle scoop, which can be made more dramatic upon request.

Made to order. Allow 6 weeks for construction after confirmation of your sizing specifications.
