Re-worked Japanese silk kimono bought by the owner. Floral design painted in pink and teal dyes onto cream crepe silk, with detail in gold pigment, couched gold metal, and pink lurex embroidery. Asymmetricality of kimono floral design retained in shirt cut. Original Japanese label sewn in back. Shirt finished with vintage mother of pearl buttons and handsewn buttonholes.
